Don has been with Davis since 2004, bringing a career that spans five decades and a breadth of experience few can match. A graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Architecture, he holds licensure through NCARB and AIA, along with Certified Document Technologist credentials through CSI and LEED BD+C accreditation. His interest in building and architecture began in childhood and never left. Don values the design development process, watching something take shape from early concepts through to completion. He has found Davis to be a firm with a remarkable portfolio and an exceptional group of professionals.
Don’s community involvement is extensive. He served as President of the Redmont Park Neighborhood Association for 30 years and currently serves as Director of the Redmont Park Historic District Foundation. He is Director of Architecture for the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, has served on the City of Birmingham Design Review Committee for over 20 years, served on the City of Birmingham Zoning Board of Adjustments, and regularly volunteers with a group that cooks and serves meals to those in need. Outside of work, Don enjoys bicycling and travel.
