University of North Alabama
Bank Independent Stadium at the University of North Alabama is a transformational, on-campus athletics complex designed to serve as the university’s first dedicated stadium and a unifying home for its football, baseball, and select soccer programs. The project realizes a vision nearly five decades in the making, bringing a modern competitive venue to UNA’s campus and significantly enhancing the university’s athletic infrastructure.
Designed to accommodate more than 10,000 spectators with the flexibility for future expansion, the stadium’s seating bowl and 360-degree fan concourse provide an engaging and accessible spectator experience. A premium tower houses expanded press and broadcast facilities, a new weight room, 13 suites, and a multipurpose stadium club, while outdoor gathering areas and diverse seating options elevate game-day amenities. Integrated concessions, restrooms, and fan services support comfort and circulation throughout the venue.
The project also includes adjacent baseball facilities, developing a reimagined field environment that features expanded seating, an all-chairback concourse, a video board, and a signature outfield wall design that reinforces the identity and pride of UNA baseball. Bank Independent Stadium serves not only as a premier competition venue but as a year-round campus asset designed to strengthen recruitment, community engagement, and the overall student experience.
The stadium complex broke ground in June 2024 and opened in September 2026 against Alcorn State University.
