Bryant-Denny Stadium South End Zone Expansion

University of Alabama

Alabama likes to say, "Other places play football, while here, they live it." Fans of the Crimson Tide proudly call the new Bryant-Denny Stadium home.

After the immense success of the North End Zone Expansion, completed by Davis in 2006, the focus turned to the southward. With demand for tickets at record-breaking levels, the highest priorities were additional seating and premium ticket options.

The Davis team’s solution filled in the upper bowl of the stadium with 36 skyboxes, a 1,700-guest Zone Club, a 1,000-guest Stadium Club, a Donor Hall of Recognition, an administrative office wing, an outdoor market, and an 8,600 seat upper deck. In total, the stadium grew nearly 230,000 sf and added 9,683 seats.

The added space is transformative for fans and donors. The new clubs and suites open three hours before kickoff and allow exclusive tailgating opportunities for many of the Crimson Tide’s staunchest supporters. The new Donor Hall of Fame on the first level also recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the athletics department. As Coach Saban remarked, “They are a big part of building a tradition in a different way than players do, but in a way that’s necessary to provide the kind of facilities and resources that we have here to have a first-class program.”

We built what Alabama needs and what the name Crimson Tide deserves.
